Tired eyes? Too much time on the computer? Reading straining your eyes?

With most of us using smartphones, iPads, tablets, laptops, computers and other other devices on a daily basis, it's not uncommon to experience eye strain and tired feeling eyes. One simple thing you can do is follow the 20-20-20 rule: Every 20 minutes take a 20 second break and focus your eyes on something at least 20 feet away. This allows your eyes to relax and reduces eyestrain and that tired eye feeling.

If your eyes are feeling sore, burning, scratchy, excessively watery, or like there's always something irritating them, you may be suffering from dry eye syndrome. Dry eye syndrome is much more common than most people think, and can be more noticeable with prolonged near or computer tasks, and when we get to be a bit older. If you're suffering from these symptoms, an eye examination can help to determine the cause, and there are some simple ways to alleviate the symptoms to make your eyes more comfortable.
